NT U20: Japan prevails over Morocco.

The Moroccan U20 national team suffered a frustrating defeat against Japan with a final score of 2 goals to 1. Despite a good start, the Moroccans were unable to maintain their lead.

The only goal for Morocco was scored in the 62nd minute when Abdellah Raihani was perfectly served in the penalty area by Ilyes Ziani. He skillfully eliminated his opponent before sliding the ball into the back of the net, thus giving the Moroccan team a 1-0 lead.

However, the joy was short-lived as Japan quickly responded. In the 72nd minute, Kotaro Uchino took advantage of a well-delivered ball by Kento Shiogai, allowing the Japanese team to equalize in the match. Then, just ten minutes after their first goal, the Japanese took the lead thanks to Hisatsugu Ishi. Despite Morocco’s efforts to turn the situation around, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.

Kento Shiogai was named the man of the match, making a significant contribution to Japan’s victory. For the Moroccan team, this defeat is disappointing, but they will need to regroup and refocus for the upcoming challenges ahead.
